Knit + Wear

The Brand

Knit + Wear is a knitting kit brand created by Quail Studio. Kits are designed to appeal to intermediate and advanced knitters with an appreciation of quality yarn, thought-led design and slow fashion. The brand offers beautiful yarns, a proven design style and the unique ability to customise kits with preferred palettes, sizes, styles and fibers. I worked with Quail Studio and Knit + Wear founder, Darren to create an identity that reflects a brand experience that empowers, inspires and encourages customers as they knit effortlessly stylish designs. 

The Design

Knit + Wear’s logo suite uses lowercase letter-forms for a familiar and comfortable feel while the brand’s colour palette has been designed to reflect the hues available in the studio’s knitting kits.

Graphic elements inspired by knitting symbols and placed on knitting graph paper were the starting point for Knit + Wear’s unique brand pattern. Repeating, rotating and recolouring these graphic elements has resulted in a unique geometric pattern, softened by the muted tones of the brand colours.
